Les Arcs is situated in the Savoie district of the French region of the Tarentaise Valley.
It is closely linked to the large town of Borg-Saint-Maurice although the resort itself is spread across a further four purpose built villages (imaginatively named Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000!), each one of these villages does have a distinct personality, ranging from the lively 1800 to the newest and most luxurious 1950 and the traditional feeling 1600; the names do little justice to these fabulous ski resorts.
More low key than other ski resorts Les Arcs is the perfect place to bring the family, car free centres, varied village settings, fabulous slopes and diverse scenery gives these resorts the edge over many of their rivals, which along with the warm welcome that you will receive makes Les Arcs the perfect destination for the discerning skier.
