A Trip To Paris

When people think of Paris, they often think of romance, fantastic cuisine, and unique culture. Another thing that springs to mind when you think about the French capital is the iconic landmarks that can be found scattered around the city. These landmarks make Paris a wonderful place to visit and explore, so it is little wonder that so many people head over here each year.

If you are considering your first visit to this city, it is advisable to create a list of the attractions and landmarks you most want to see. This will ensure you don’t miss out on any of the fabulous sights and places of interest. Of course, if you stay in a central area of the city such as the 7th or 8th arrondissement, you will find that many of the world-famous Parisian landmarks are right on your doorstep.

Probably one of the best-known Paris landmarks, the Eiffel Tower is a must if you want to make the most of your trip to Paris.

You can admire it from the ground as it towers above you, and you can enjoy the stunning beauty of the tower at night when it is all lit up. However, for a unique experience, take a trip to the top of the tower – but wrap up warm, as it can get chilly up there!

Another great iconic landmark in Paris is the Arc de Triomphe, which is centrally located and surrounded by extremely busy roads. Once you manage to get across these roads, you can take in the fabulous detail and awe-inspiring structure of the Arc.

You can even climb the 284 steps to enjoy a unique view of the city from the top of the arch.

With a wide range of shops and boutiques, plenty of places to enjoy a drink, and a host of attractions, the Champs Elysees is another place to visit while you are in Paris.

This wide avenue runs for 1.9 kilometres with the Arc de Triomphe at one end and the Palace de la Concorde at the other. It is a great place to enjoy luxury shopping, lunch at an upmarket restaurant, a few cocktails, or simply take in the vibrant atmosphere and special events that take place here.

One of the city’s central landmarks, the Louvre Museum is the largest art museum in the world. Easily identifiable by its massive glass pyramid, this is a place that is a sight to behold.

In addition, it houses some of the most superb collections of artwork including the famous Mona Lisa. If you love history and culture as well as unique architecture, this is a place you must visit.
