Rhodes is the biggest of the Dodecanese islands and one of the biggest in the Aegean sea. It is situated roughly 17,7 km from the coasts of Turkey.
The population is about 130.000 people, of which roughly 60-70.000 reside in the town of Rhodes. Rhodes called by its local people the Rose of the Aegean and merits its name because is among the most gorgeous Greek islands. Rhodes has the oldest traveller history from all of the islands of Greece and is famous all across the globe, this amazing Greek island along with the islands of Kos, Crete, Mykonos, Santorini and Corfu pulls the most tourism in Greece.

Many cultural events are organised in parallel to the fair. Surrounding islets : To the southwest lie the islets of Karavolas and Ktenies with wild natural beauty while to the west is a grouping of islets in the triangle between Alimia – Halki – Rhodes. The islets of Makri, Strongyli and Strongylo lie of Rhodes ‘ western coast.
